How do I remove urine from my carpets?

Dealing with  pet accidents and puppy training can be a hassle, especially when urine stains are left on carpets.

Ordinary stain removal products from shops can worsen the problem by pushing the liquid deeper into the carpet and underlay, causing unsightly brown or black stains.

In such situations, professional help is necessary to effectively remove these issues.

We classify the contamination into three categories: light staining, multiple areas of contamination, and severe contamination. For light staining, we use an enzyme-based solution to flush the affected area with cold water.

Then, we extract the moisture using steam and hand tools to maximise moisture extraction. A UV torch is also used to ensure all contamination is removed, and a neutral deodoriser is applied.

For multiple areas of contamination, we follow the same process, but it may take longer because of the larger area of work. The reverse side of the carpet may also need to be treated.

In severe cases where the staining and smells are pervasive, we remove the underlay and treat the subfloor with a solution that eliminates mildew and odour.

We then fit a new underlay, treat the carpet with a powerful solution, and steam clean it before drying it with air movers. A neutral deodoriser is applied to finish the job.

The costs for this work vary according to the room size and severity of contamination. Once we survey the area, we can advise on the time and cost.

We may also need to remove furniture, but we can provide this service for an additional fee.

Before the work commenced we moved all the furniture and applied a powerful solution that breaks down the odours.

In the fresh water tank we place an acid.

We then flushed the carpet section by section using just cold water.

This method allows us to rinse all of the customers attmepts without sealing in the stains permanantly.

Once this was done we now reclean, reapply our solution of choice and steam clean.

Once complete we then place air movers to speed up the drying times.
