When you hire a technician, you are essentially paying for their experience, insurance, cleaning solutions, and the equipment used to complete the task.

Additionally, the size of the area to be cleaned and the type of stains that require additional treatment, such as coffee, tea, red wine, and chewing gum, should also be taken into account.

While some stains can be removed using standard cleaning methods, some require special treatment.

For residential carpet cleaning, the average cost is around £3.40 per m2 for an area like a lounge of 16m2.

However, stairs are priced differently, with a standard flight of 13 steps and risers costing around £2.30 per step.

For commercial carpet cleaning, factors like heavier footfall, out-of-hours or weekend hours, and the size of the area will affect the cost. Typically, expect to pay around £3.75 -£4.00 per m2.

A technician will provide a more comprehensive cost estimate after surveying the work.
